Spiritual Care & Campus Life Coordinator
Life Coordinator for Senior Years.

This is a 44 week position that starts at the end of August to June of every school year.

female students, planning and implementing chapels for Middle and Senior Years, planning and
implementing extracurricular events and providing support to LCS parents.

Previous experience in youth ministries, counseling, preaching and leading bible studies will be
required.

This position will suit an individual who enjoys serving others, has great communication skills to
effectively relate with parents, students and other churches, a team player, is highly organized
with strong time management skills and able to follow up, has a positive attitude, and wants to

Spiritual Care & Campus Life Coordinator - Senior Years

REPORTS TO:
SY Vice Principal / Leader of Spiritual Care and Campus Life

**STATUS: Full time position

  • 80%**
    JOB SUMMARY:The Spiritual Life Coordinator will aid in the fulfillment of Linden Christian School's mission to help students
become devoted followers of Christ. Working closely with the Leader of Spiritual Care and Campus Life, she
will assist in the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that will further enhance the
spiritual focus of the school, while providing spiritual guidance on a personal level to students within the
school community.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Student Support
provide spiritual guidance and pastoral counseling for female LCS students- intentionally identify and disciple key leaders and young females from LCS community
- work alongside administration to support students and families through conflict and crisis


Chapel Support
work alongside chapel worship team, discipling and training young leaders- assist in planning and implementation of SY chapels
- speak semi-regularly at SY chapels, and occasionally at MY chapels


Campus Life Initiatives
plan and implement extra-curricular events (retreats, prayer meetings, etc.) for LCS
- students- provide assistance to Student Council for events and programs
- provide support/guidance with Bible studies


Parent Support
explore potential initiatives to provide support to parents of the LCS community- lead planning of workshops, seminars and round-tables aimed at LCS parents


Academic/Educational Requirements:

- post secondary education from a recognized Bible School;
- demonstrated experience in youth ministries, counseling, preaching and evangelism through

involvement in the local church.

  • Experience in Kids ministry (K 6) is an asset
  • Experience in leading worship

Additional Qualifications/skills:

- minimum of 3 years experience in youth ministries, counseling, preaching and evangelism;
- experience leading intercultural missions teams;
- highly developed relational and communication skills with youth and understanding of youth culture;
- a passion to see youth move towards a personal relationship and become devoted followers of Christ;
- ability to interact effectively and positively with parents, administration, staff and other churches;
- ability to work effectively as a team member and train teams for ministry;
- ability to work independently, set priorities and be highly self initiating;
- ability to deal with difficult and sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy including areas of race
- relations, cross cultural understanding and human rights;- ability to effectively adapt to changing situations or increased responsibilities within the workplace;
- desire and ability to engage in continuing education, accountability, professional development and

personal spiritual growth.
