THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for
_Apprentice Sprinkler Fitters_ to join our Sprinkler Construction Division full-time.

As an Apprentice Sprinkler Fitter, you will assist in the installation of Fire Sprinkler Systems in new construction projects and tenant improvements (commercial and multi-unit residential).

Additionally, you will partake in inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and routine maintenance on various Fire Sprinkler Systems.


_ Key Responsibilities:
_


  • Read and interpret blueprints, evaluate plans diagrams, specifications, schematics, and operational/product manuals in relation to work to be completed.
  • Prepare take offs of material and labour requirements for work scopes.
  • Liaise with clients along with, onsite supervisors to ensure high levels of customer service and effective communication.
  • Ensure preparation and ordering of stock materials for execution of assigned daily work orders while optimizing material utilization.
  • Performing infield sprinkler commissioning, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on systems including fire sprinkler wet systems, fire sprinkler dry systems, fire sprinkler preaction systems, fire pumps, fire hydrants, backflow preventers and special hazard systems.
  • Ensure all work is executed using safe work practices and safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job.
  • Desire to learn and grow your skills and achieve journeyperson status within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Registered with ITA in the Sprinkler Systems Installer Apprenticeship Program.
  • Experience installing and servicing sprinkler systems and associated piping.
  • Have a reliable vehicle to get to and from work.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fastpaced environment.
  • Must be selfmotivated, resourceful, and proactive.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) and a positive friendly attitude.
  • Able to work 40hrs per week (overtime and oncall rotation as needed).
