Job Summary:


Under the direction of the Strategic HR Business Partner, the HR Manager provides human resource expertise to the organization and works in partnership with the business to achieve their objectives.

This will include the proactive identification of opportunities where HR can add value through specific interventions, to include but not limited to organizational design, team building, performance management, coaching, talent development activities, process changes and employee relations support.

The role develops and implements human resource initiatives while advising and consulting with management on implementing programs that impact on the business and staff.

This position requires interaction with managers to ensure that organization and human resource practices are consistent with organizational goals and in line with policy and practice at Group level and Moog Inc.

The role holder participates in key business meetings where operating strategies are developed. The HR Manager advises on, interprets, and implements proposed strategies partnering to offer people related expertise.

The HR Manager also draws on HR expertise from the Centers of Excellence to include metrics, training and development, recruitment, and HR systems.

The HR Manager provides guidance, coaching and support with all employee-related topics including leading employee relation issues through the resolution and designing, designing, and supporting engagement, retention, and people development activity.


Responsibilities:


  • Act as HR Manager to the site on all aspects of HR from organizational development and communication to employee relations, performance management and talent development.
  • Participate in key strategic planning and operations meetings and advise management of organization development and employee relations impact of operating decisions.
  • Coach Managers in all HR matters with the objective of increasing their awareness and facilitating their development. Engender a best practice approach to people management.
  • Act as the guardian of the Moog Culture and Philosophy.
  • Support the attraction and recruitment of highquality talent, to include leading branding/EVP activities locally and coaching and developing leaders with respect to interview and selection processes
  • Development of Site HR policies and procedures as needed, ensuring they meet legal compliance and are in line with the overall business aims and supportive of the Moog Cultural values.
  • Implement Training Need Analysis and follow up with the implementation of Talent Development and Succession Planning programs.
  • Provide expert counsel on employee selection and performance management, to help ensure accuracy, fairness, and legal defensibility.
  • Manage standard reporting processes as needed, ensuring both the accuracy and timely submission of such data.
  • Guide and advise line management on basic compensation and benefits issues ensuring compliance with compensation strategy.
  • Participate in strategy planning & operation meetings and advise management of organization development and employee relations impact of operating decisions. Provide proactive input on HR and people related matters to enhance the effectiveness and traction of business decisions.
  • Support Global HR Projects to include leading or being a key member of the project team.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline preferred.
  • Significant experience (usually posteducation) in the field of Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
  • Proven general capabilities in the competencies of Communication, Adaptability, Planning & Organizing, Managing Conflict, Customer Focus and Building Strategic Working Relationships.
  • Facilitation skills are desirable.
  • Occasional travel required.
