QUALIFICATIONS:
KEY DUTIES
- Designing, planning and executing research aimed at understanding the functional evolution of intrinsically disordered regions.
- The research aims include 1) developing protocols to purify large, disordered proteins at high yield and characterize their properties and behavior using various biophysical methods in vitro, and 2) using microscopybased methods to understand their collective behavior in solution and its role in transcriptional regulation.
- Contributing to research as a member of a dynamic and productive team with diverse expertise.
- Contributing to team efforts with other internal and external collaborators to explore research questions and test novel methodologies.
- Liaising with collaborators and assisting in the compilation, analysis and reporting of research findings to researchers within and outside of the program.
- Preparing manuscripts for submission to peer review publications/journals.
- Presenting findings at local, national and international conferences.
- Assisting with research proposals to be submitted to granting agencies and progress reporting.
- Training other members in the lab.
