Profile:
Based in Ontario and founded in 2012, Synergy is a turnkey COR certified company. Focusing on the design, construction and activation of telecommunication and Utility infrastructure. Specializing in Directional drilling, Hydro vac, cable placement, design, fibre splicing and system activation.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, replace, and setup a diverse selection of equipment in HFC networks including (but not limited to) Amplifiers, Multitaps, Splitters and Nodes.
- Troubleshoot & Repair cable faults in underground and aerial infrastructure using tools such as: TDR, Locator, A-Frame etc.
- Repowering procedures, Familiar with 60v & 90v A/C systems and equipment. Understand and calculate power load (AMP Draw).
- Read, understand and asbuilt design drawings. Keep up to date with paperwork and documentation.
- Familiar with use and maintenance of specialty tools such as Signal Meter, Light Meter, Voltmeter.
- Ensure customer specification is met.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Be able to provide a high level of technical support ensuring quality of service and professionalism at every customer interaction.
- Be able to manage efficiently and ensure that deadlines are met to satisfy customer demands.
- Must be able to carry and climb a twentyeightfoot extension ladder weighing 80 pounds.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must have the dexterity to use hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, pliers, side cutters, etc.)
- Must be able to safely lift loads of 65 lbs.
- Must have the flexibility to work night shifts as required.
- Must be competent with working at heights.
- Must be well organized and be able to work well individually and as part of a team.
- Responsibility for the tidiness, cleanliness, and operation maintenance of the company vehicle.
