QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a current Class III Forklift Operator Safety Certificate.
  • Minimum of two years' experience within the last four years in a hospital stores environment including transporting and storage of medical supplies and medical equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of medical and surgical supplies.
  • Good working knowledge of Materials Management Information Systems and Inventory Control Systems is essential including the use of hand held scanning technology.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills with attention for detail and accuracy.
  • Communication skills sufficient to understand both written and verbal directions.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Knowledge of proper body mechanics to be utilized during materials handling processes.
  • Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, judgment and decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexible, selfdirected and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
  • Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
  • Consistent and regular attendance required.
  • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
