  • Salary range for Production Supervisor from $65,000 to $80,000k / year At our Cascades plant in Scarborough, ON you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Containerboard Packaging division of our team as the Production Supervisor:
  • Lead with a core belief of Safety as a Value. Establish and maintain a healthy working relationship and strong safety culture with supervisors and department employees to ensure compliance for all applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Assist Production Manager in preparing and implementing action plans and continuous improvement strategies relevant to Operations
  • Assist the Production Manager with the review and prioritization of work orders to support safety improvements and operational efficiency
  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily scheduled production
  • Accountable for the health and safety of all workers under their supervision; responsible for ensuring that all operations are safe and that employees work in compliance with established work practices and procedures; interacts with and participates in the Joint Health and Safety Committee
  • Monitor and/or control quality and production levels
  • Conduct timely accident and investigation reports and all follow up in such matters to closure
  • Identify problems on the floor and make quick decisions to resolve them to support the plant goals
  • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
  • Identify employee development and training needs, documents training and ensures that training is effective. Bring out the best in yourself. Commit. Evolve. Persevere.   • Minimum two (2) plus years experience in a manufacturing environment, corrugated paper industry is preferred
  • Minimum two (2) plus years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is mandatory
  • Must demonstrate a competence in all supervisory skills and requirements
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are a must to be successful in a team environment
  • Strong commitment to safe work behaviors is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access)
