Job Function


Under general direction, responsible for assistance with matters relating to CVOR compliance, including monitoring Hydro One's record, following up with infractions, and providing reporting to the CVOR Officer.

Secondary role of assisting Fleet Engineer to ensure external vendor's compliance with contractual terms.

  • Monitor CVOR record, maintain file system and tracker to include information on CVOR events (including tickets received, inspections done, and collisions).
  • For each event, collect actual tickets or inspection records, relevant information on the event, additional outcomes of event (e.g. additional training, discipline, policy changes, etc.)
  • For tickets issued, review and provide feedback on how to proceed, including Legal Department as required.
  • For convictions, categorize into Hydro One internal categories.
  • Provide regular reporting on events to LoB leadership as requested.
  • Run driver's license validity and/or abstracts periodically and as required.
  • Audit adherence to CVORrelated policy periodically.
  • Provide compliance reporting and support as required.
  • Draft communication and documentation relating to CVOR and Fleet policy as required.
  • Assist Fleet Engineer to ensure external vendor's compliance with contractual terms; identify deficiencies to vendor; discuss with vendor and report to Fleet Engineer as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as required

Selection Criteria
Education

  • Requires a knowledge of driver legislation.
  • Requires a good knowledge of English to communicate clearly and concisely (verbal, written, and via presentation).
  • Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired in either a fouryear university education in an appropriate field such as engineering or legal or the equivalent.
Experience

  • Requires experience with reviewing internal policy and legal documentation.
  • Previous experience with CVOR and/or driver safety compliance strongly preferred.
  • Preference for exposure to heavy equipment.
  • Requires experience in interpreting data and proposing improvements considered limitations and risks.
  • A period of over 2 years and up to and including 4 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
