Responsibilities:

Cold calling to increase customer base in commercial sectors

Selling both IMP products, new equipment and service work

Managing a base of existing clients

Achieving minimum annual sales targets (to be discussed separately)

Quoting and estimating projects for clients

Managing new projects from start to finish

Working with sub-contractors and installation crews to manage installations

Utilizing quote tracking forms


Typical Duties:


Under the direction and supervision of the Service Manager, the Outside Sales Representative will meet with existing clients to cultivate a relationship through the transition process.

Additionally, the representative will meet with new and potential clients to introduce them to our company and gain their future business.


The Outside Sales Representative will build a potential customer database that includes names of contacts spoken to and dates of phone conversations and onsite meetings.

They will also prepare quotes for upcoming projects, seeking approval from the Sales Manager prior to submission to the client, and completing the necessary research to answer any questions the client may have.


The Outside Sales Representative will maintain accurate job files, including but not limited to: Customer Quote, Vendor Quote(s), Contract/Purchase Order, Signed Shop Drawings, Site Check(s), Specifications, Pictures, etc., to pass to the Installation Department for job creation.

Sales orders and Vendor Purchase Orders will be sent back to the Representative for their records. The Representative will also be responsible for providing accurate contact info and/or completed New Client form.


Qualifications:
Proven track record in sales

Strong work ethic

Desire to succeed

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Familiarity with commercial IMP, freezer/cooler doors, overhead doors and docks.

Knowledge of sales and marketing principles

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
