Job Summary:


The Operations and Production Planning Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that our aerospace company's production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing production plans, monitoring production schedules, and coordinating with various departments to ensure that production targets are met.

This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of operations and production planning processes.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement production plans that meet customer requirements and achieve the company's production goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that production processes are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.

Monitor production performance and make adjustments as necessary to meet customer demand and production targets.

Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements to increase efficiency

Develop and maintain production schedules, including prioritizing work, coordinating resources, and communicating plans to cross-functional teams

Establish and maintain production metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement

Work closely with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery of products and to resolve any production-related issues

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Production Planning, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

At least 10 years of experience in operations and production planning in the aerospace industry

Strong understanding of production planning and control processes, including capacity planning, scheduling, and materials management

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve production-related issues

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Project, and experience with ERP/MR


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
