Financial Analyst, Junior


The Financial Analyst, Junior position, under general supervision, is responsible for conducting and documenting moderate to complex financial and economic analysis projects.

Additional responsibilities include evaluating the accounting and financial records of the company to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures.

**Performance Expectations

  • Support the Consolidated Close Process by collecting supporting schedules from plants, compile and consolidate in timely and accurate manner.
  • Accounting for small Linamar companies, including preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Perform monthly eliminating journal entries and assist with account reconciliations.
  • Perform consolidated intercompany balancing checks.
  • Assist with financial statement note disclosures for interim and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare consolidated financial reporting and analysis as assigned.
  • Analyze Consolidated Group product line income statements and variance analysis with explanations for all significant items.
  • Assist with the forecast and budget consolidation processes, including presentation materials.
  • Support the yearend audit process from a consolidated perspective.
  • Compile information for Statistics Canada reporting.
  • Assist with financial planning and budget process, and correct estimates. Interact with others in team and act as liaison between different departments.
**Credentials

  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
  • Enrolled in the CPA program.
  • Minimum two years of related financial experience.
  • Ability to interpret graphs displaying revenues, expenses, liabilities and assets to evaluate key economic and treasury trends. Ability to work in a fully computerized environment including advanced Excel and Word skills, knowledge of BPC SAP and IFS systems is an asset.
