ABOUT THE JOB:


The aim of Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation.

GBSU differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.


Our team is focused on the development and operations of accounting IT systems for regulatory, management and performance monitoring purposes.

We align both with local (America) and global business lines within the Global Banking and Investor Solutions section of the group.

We are part of a family of services linked to Finance, Risk and Management.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Translate needs into Agile stories and represent them through the team's delivery efforts.
  • Participate in the elaboration and maintenance of our agile backlogs across feature teams and projects.
  • Work with team experts to provide estimate, feedback, and suggestions on business requirements to maximize value delivery and service resiliency.
  • Help the team maintain sufficient awareness of the business aspects behind our data and reports.
  • Work in close relationship with developers and data engineers to ensure proper integration, report automation and user experience.
  • Translate technical constraints and issues to a nontechnical audience.
  • Participate in the design, integration, and organization of technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation regarding our domain and systems.
  • Participate in endtoend testing and create test cases based on specific user requirements.
  • Coordinate and liaise with clients on User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase.
  • Analyze existing reporting logics with the intent of clarifying their current flow, improving their quality, delivering enhancements and porting across platforms.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners to ensure proper dialogue and collaboration between our perimeters.
  • Participate in preparation, validation, correction, and presentation of adhoc report requests from different stakeholders.
  • Participate in our agile ceremonies and the team's daily life.

Profile required:


Skills and Qualifications:


Must Have

  • Capacity to communicate efficiently across a wide diversity of audiences.
  • Capacity to establish, document and steer complex IT systems evolutions.
  • Comfortable with the Scrum methodology.
  • Comfortable with classical project management.
  • Capacity to read, interpret and adjust SQL code.
  • Familiarity with a software development and data transformation tools.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
  • Autonomy on Jira.
  • Familiarity with data integration (API, Databases, ETL, Files, etc.) considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with finance or accounting concepts considered an asset.

Experience and Education:


  • University degree in a relevant field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a complex IT environment
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience with regulations and reporting considered an asset.
  • Hands on experience with data manipulation and transformation considered an asset.

Languages:
English, French


  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States._
