What Will You Do?


Reporting to and working with the Director of Strategic Marketing, you will sit at the hub of activity interacting with D&V Business Unit leaders, R&D, operations, and business development; state and federal level government customers, and partners.


More specifically, you will be expected to:

  • Market and Customer Needs_
  • Conduct market research and collect the voice of the customer
  • Build investment cases with clear value propositions, aligned with the D&V Business Unit strategy
  • Actively engage within the market and generate product related thought leadership material
  • Product Management_
  • Lead the product development process, including a crossfunctional team of technical and nontechnical members
  • Develop and manage the product roadmap(s)
  • Assist with pricing and commercialization, with competitive landscape in mind
  • Present and inspire others by using storytelling and experience to showcase how customers and citizens benefit from using our products/solutions
  • Innovation_
  • Ideate and champion new directions for the product(s) as new market needs are uncovered bringing clearly articulated solutions for market problems to Business Unit leadership
  • Partner with R&D and Engineering to determine the 'feasibility' of new ideas, assess technologies, and explore options for compelling offerings
  • BD and Cross-BU Support_
  • Support Business Development and Proposal Writing teams, as a center of expertise providing offeringspecific content tailored for presentations and RFP responses
  • Support Business Development and Operations with current customer programs as needs evolve

We are looking for a person with knowledge of system and software product development/product management for enterprise solutions.

Whether you possess a technical background with a business mind or are a businessperson with experience in technology/software, we want to hear from you.


_Knowledge/Experience_

  • Required Qualifications:_
  • Undergraduate degree in IT, Engineering or Business related field
  • Several years of experience (5+) working in systems and/or software product management related roles (e.g. product development, offering management, or similar).
  • Asset Qualifications:_
  • Experience in secure identity credential domain areas
  • Experience in Service Design / Design Thinking, especially for Government services
  • Experience in transitioning customers from custom solutions to configurable products
  • Experience in Cloud and On-Premise solution architecture
  • Experience in Mobile and Webbased software products
  • Additional higher education in an IT, Engineering or Business related field
  • Experience in developing content for RFP responses or marketing communications
  • Experience working with agile developments teams

Mandatory Requirements_**- Ottawa based.

  • The ability to obtain, and maintain, Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance
  • Ability to travel internationally (mostly within North America) approx. 48 weeks per year.
