Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities


Reporting to the Project Control Manager, this role will report directly to our team in Canada west (Based in Calgary), however, this opportunity is open to remote workers from any province in Canada.


Among the tasks required will be:

  • Preparation of monthly cost report and cost forecast
  • Set up and administration of monthly incurred cost flow
  • Setting of original budget and estimate recast
  • Ensure costs are tracked properly with appropriate use of WBS and CBS coding
  • Change management coordination
  • Administration and maintenance of EcoSys
  • Preparation and consolidation of month end cost and progress reporting
  • Travel as required for various field programs.

Qualifications

  • One to four years of experience in cost management, earned value, cash flows, invoice support, and performance measurement.
  • Project Controls experience working on EPCM projects will be an asset.
  • Proficiency in EcoSys an asset
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Measurement (EVM
  • ANSI EIA748B) in consulting projects, procurement & construction
  • Cost engineering and estimating knowledge as contained in AACE and PMI (PMBok) standard practices
  • Strong knowledge of, and the interrelationship of a good technical project scope definition, quality of the schedule and estimate, consulting project sequence and execution, procurement and contracting strategies
  • Capable of developing and maintaining control budget and forecast EPC scopes of work
  • Understanding of crossfunctional interfaces with consulting projects, procurement materials & subcontracts, construction, safety, quality, finance/accounting, and document control
  • Capable of managing impact of change & trends, CPI / SPI / MPI
  • Understanding of financial interface for expenditures, revenue recognition, invoicing, cash flow / cash calls
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and relationship building skills
  • Proven review skills, as well as presentation and facilitation skills
  • A university or a technical diploma in engineering, environmental sciences, sustainability or others related areas.
  • Certification (or working towards it) by PMI (PMP) and/or AACE or similar accredited project management institute an asset
  • Certification in Enterprise Primavera Portfolio and Contract Management would be an asset.
