We are recruiting for a Retail & Experience Team Lead to join our team starting in Spring

The Team Leader supports the Retail & Experience management team in achieving established daily revenue and wine club targets relative to all retail, tour and experience operations on property.

In addition, this role ensures an extremely high quality guest experiences that promote brand image and meet/exceed financial objectives.

This role regularly serves as Manager on Duty ("MOD") performing retail administrative tasks (including opening and closing retail boutiques) and providing leadership and appropriate coaching to part time Server, Tour and Retail associates as well as Porters and Team Leaders.

This teammate will be accountable for:

  • Achieves/exceeds assigned Wine Club membership targets
  • Maximizes revenues per guest transaction (including upselling) via a solid understanding of:
  • Property wines / accessories / experiences / Wine Club membership benefits / events
  • Facilitates guided tour and tasting experiences for property guests, and Leads VIP experiences when / where necessary
  • Assists with processing guest sales (via POS system) and with Guest Relations bookings/reservations (via internal reservations systems) when required
  • Assists Retail & Experience management team with:
  • Driving daily sales targets for wine and Wine Club sales
  • MOD responsibilities; including opening and closing duties/responsibilities; attending daily Functions meetings, supervising/delegating Functions, providing appropriate coaching and leadership to retail team, responding effectively to guest requests/complaints
  • General retail/tour/experience administrative duties
  • Retail & Experience team member training/onboarding
  • Managing bar and serving operations both outdoors and indoors
  • Understands and adheres to cash control procedures and retail inventory control procedures (receiving, ordering, promotions, stocking, experience writeoffs); assists with monthly retail inventory process
  • Ensures a Safe and Healthy Work Environment by ensuring alignment with Company Respect in the Workplace Policy in addition to the effective operation of the Health and Safety program and Joint Health and Safety Committee and ensures compliance with government regulations

We are looking for a teammate with:

  • WSET or ISG/CAPS or CMS certification
  • 12 years retail supervisory/MOD experience preferably in a Hospitality/Tourism or luxury retail environment
  • University/College graduate preferably from Business/Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism Management program
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Proven people leadership, coaching, listening, communication, supervision, teamwork, and organizational skills
