Overview


We are launching a new consumer product brand, Tarot for Bros, beginning with a waitlist-driven presale of a limited first edition (500 units).

We are seeking an experienced SEO and e-commerce specialist to set up the foundational infrastructure for search visibility, conversion, and future scalability.


The project will begin with a Squarespace (or, a website built with Lovable) landing site focused on waitlist growth, followed by preparation for a later migration to a full Shopify e-commerce store after presale.

A direct competitor ("Bro Tarot") already exists, so brand positioning and search visibility are critical.

Objectives
Build a high-conversion waitlist funnel
Establish strong technical SEO foundations
Ensure brand-related searches return our site prominently
Optimize the site for presale conversion
Prepare for seamless transition to Shopify post-launch
Implement analytics and tracking for growth decisions

Scope of Work
1) Technical SEO Setup (Squarespace - Currently Deciding on Platform for Pre-Shopify Landing Page)
Conduct a technical audit and implement foundational SEO best practices.


Deliverables:
Technical SEO audit and recommendations
XML sitemap creation and submission
optimization
Google Search Console setup and verification
Bing Webmaster Tools setup
Core Web Vitals and page speed optimization (within platform limits)
Mobile responsiveness check
Canonical tag implementation
Structured data/schema (Organization, Product, FAQ as applicable)
Indexing verification

2) Keyword Research & Competitive Analysis
Develop a keyword strategy focused on brand defense and high-intent buyers.


Deliverables:
Keyword research relevant to tarot, spirituality, and male audience
Competitive analysis (including "Bro Tarot")
Identification of high-intent and long-tail keywords
Keyword mapping to site pages
Recommendations for future content topics


Priority areas include:
Brand keywords
"Tarot for men" searches
Gift-related searches
Beginner tarot searches
Self-development/spirituality for men

3) On-Page SEO Optimization
Optimize all core site pages for search visibility and clarity.


Deliverables:
SEO titles and meta descriptions for all pages
Optimized heading structure (H1–H3)
Keyword-aligned copy recommendations
Internal linking strategy
Image alt text optimization
URL structure guidance
FAQ optimization for featured snippets


Key pages include:
Homepage / landing page
About page
FAQ page
Contact page
Any blog or content pages

4) Waitlist Funnel & Conversion Optimization
Support the creation of a high-performing waitlist page designed to convert visitors into subscribers.


Deliverables:
Best-practice recommendations for landing page structure
Conversion optimization suggestions (CRO)
Guidance on placement of forms and calls to action
Integration support for waitlist software (e.g., Viral Loops, KickoffLabs, or similar)
Recommendations for referral-based waitlist mechanics
Mobile conversion optimization

5) Presale Preparation
Ensure the site can transition smoothly from waitlist to presale.


Deliverables:
Recommendations for presale page structure
Structured product markup setup where applicable
Guidance on scarcity messaging and conversion tactics
SEO readiness for product launch

6) Shopify Migration Planning (Post-Launch Readiness)
Provide guidance to ensure future e-commerce expansion does not harm SEO.


Deliverables:
Recommended Shopify site architecture
URL structure planning to preserve SEO value
Migration best practices checklist
Domain strategy recommendations
Advice on redirects and data continuity
Actual migration implementation is not required at this stage.

7) Analytics & Tracking Setup
Implement tools to measure performance and conversion.


Deliverables:
Google Analytics 4 setup and configuration
Conversion tracking (email signups and key actions)
Search Console performance monitoring setup
Basic reporting dashboard or template
Recommendations for tracking waitlist growth and traffic sources

8) Content & Authority Strategy (Optional but Preferred)
Provide recommendations for building search authority through content.


Deliverables:
Suggested blog/content roadmap (3–6 months)
SEO-friendly article topics aligned with target audience
Recommendations for building backlinks or external visibility

Contract duration of less than 1 month. with 30 hours per week.
