RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

Position summary

General Duties

  • Plans, organizes, and conducts independent research upon approval of the principal investigator, designs, tests, and evaluates methods and protocol for research projects, analyzes, summarizes, and organizes collected data, together with principal investigator, generally publishes results of investigations in professional journals,
  • Assist in designing research studies, developing research protocols, and selecting appropriate methodologies,
  • Manage, collect and analyze data, interpret research findings, and contribute to the development of research papers, reports, or publications.

Education / Experience

Education:
Post doctoral Studies


Field of Study:
PhD in cardiovascular sciences or related discipline

Other education considered an asset for this position:
Knowledge of Cardiology.


Work Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical research and/or a strong publication record,
  • Previous experience in exercise/rehabilitation interventional trials is an asset,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills,
  • Able to think strategically yet work with a focus on detail and efficiency,
  • Good electronic communication and time management,
  • Strong knowledge of computers, RedCap (data management), accessing and navigating webbased systems.

  • English & French (speaking & writing),
  • Microsoft Office.

Status:
Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)


Pay Scale:
$52, $98,425.60, commensurate with education & work experience
