We are hiring an Application Development Technical Lead-AI Solutions

The Role: Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Application Development, the Technical Lead, Application Development provides technical leadership to a cross functional team in the analysis, development and implementation of application changes and enhancements. The role is responsible for providing technical oversight on all assigned applications.

What you will do:

Create design and technical requirements based on business requirements to deliver value utilizing Microsoft Azure AI Services
Act as the Subject Matter Expert to assist with Solutions that utilize and integrate with Microsoft AI Services such as Document Intelligence, AI Vision, AI Language and Azure OpenAI
Train, test, evaluate and refine AI models employing appropriate evaluation metrics
Fine-tune models for improved performance
Help mentor, cross-train and build competency in Azure AI Services within First National Financial LP
Work within a cross-functional team consisting of a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Application Developers, DevOps Technician and Quality Assurance Specialists to ensure code quality, accuracy and correct business solutions have been developed based on specifications.
Assist and collaborate with development teams in order to ensure:
Best practices are being met
Standards are being followed
Help direct standards and technology change for both short and long term
Provide high level estimates during envisioning and concept stages
Assist with Impact and risk assessment during envisioning and concept stages
Assist with Application Modernization and Architecture Roadmap alignment
Lead application development from concept through to implementation
Lead technical discussions and gather consensus for decisions from stakeholders
Lead code reviews and walkthroughs to ensure the code being built is aligned with design specifications
Create code snippets and starter code for the team
Take an active part in all development phases, including research, design, development, testing, and deployment
Reviewing and assisting in maintaining First National's software development standards.
Assist AppOps with investigating Application related Help Desk tickets issued by the end user(s)

The Requirements Needed:

Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Technology.
5+ years' experience in Application Development.
2+ years' experience in AI/ML Solutions Development.
2+ years' experience in leading technical initiatives.
Experience with Azure AI Services.
Ability to design, decompose, create technical requirements for AI Solutions.
Comprehension and experience with architectural frameworks and development methodologies (REST, SOA, EF, CSLA, ASP.NET, MVC, HTML5, Blazor, etc...).
Experience in SQL Server 2016 is required.
Need to have working knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) and other architecture modeling notations to sketch the class diagrams, object diagrams, sequence diagrams, collaboration diagram and use cases related to the project.
Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal guidance.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task
Ability to Help/Diect other members on the team with their work
Ability to promote best practices and coding standards across the team
Demonstration of specialized knowledge in one or more technical domains
Ability to Help with planning and executing projects by drawing on Application and Technical knowledge and providing recommendations to Management
Ability to help remove roadblocks, including debugging, for their team in order to help the project team reach their goals
Ability to lead meetings and present technical subjects to a wide audience.
