Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the direction of the kitchen supervisor or chef.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Handle and store food items properly to maintain freshness and quality.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries.
- Help with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Skills:
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Understanding of proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
