Operations include two manufacturing plants located in Edmonton and Customer Solution Centres located in Langley, Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

We are currently recruiting for a
Warehouse Supervisor for our
Edmonton B Shift in our Inbound (Receiving) department. This individual is responsible for responsible for supervising the receiving and warehousing functions and team for the B shift.

Additional responsibilities include conducting mid-year and year-end physical inventory counts and daily cycle counts, conducting quality control within the overall function, material returns, material recycling and disposal, and maintaining working relationships across the broader All Weather Windows Group of Companies to ensure that the Warehouse Operations function is integrated into and supports future development and planning of day-to-day operations.

This individual will also coordinate, lead and ensure compliance of the Health & Safety activities within the AWWR Inbound team.

Hour of work for this position is Monday to Friday 4:30pm to 1am.


In this position, you will be responsible for...

  • Provide guidance and direction to staff.
  • Provide guidance through coaching, counseling, and onthejob training.
  • Identify gaps within current processes and development/revise standard operating procedures to account for said gaps.
  • Plan and set annual team performance goals in accordance with organizational objectives and conduct performance discussions as required.
  • Address performance concerns of staff, garnering assistance from Human Resources, where appropriate.
  • Document formal and informal discussions and follow through on performance improvement planning and/or progressive discipline, as required.
  • Schedule staff, including approving vacation, time off, and overtime, as required.
  • Approve time entry.
  • Troubleshoot and/or solve problems that arise with unloading, quality of product stored, and warehousing concerns.
  • Oversee coordination of inventory movement to and from facility.
  • Establish basis for distribution of work for routine work, and major assignments when applicable.
  • Identify current and future warehouse management issues that impact incoming or outgoing inventory.
  • Ensure materials and products are available on time for both manufacturing and shipping schedules.
  • Health and safety compliance.
  • Lead warehouse and associated operations to provide the most costeffective responsive service to internal and external customers.
  • Develop warehousing operations standards, strategies and practices.
  • Provide internal customers after hours contact support for rush or emergency situations.
  • Manage the cycle count program and when required assist in the facilitation of midyear and yearend physical inventory counts.
  • Ensure inventory management transactions such as material transfers and issues are completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained.
  • Develop and implement measures to attain desired accuracy.
  • Develop, plan, and implement proper storage of received materials.
  • Ensure timely data entry and paperwork flow of received material is completed.
  • Coordinate, organize and facilitate proper staging of inventory.
  • Identify and address slow moving/dead stock with appropriate business leaders.
  • Undertake continuous improvement on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure all qualityrelated documentation is provided to QC team upon inventory receipt.
  • Ascertain staffing requirements daily and efficiently allot staff to individual warehousing functions.
  • Communicate equipment requirements and coordination.
  • Provide feedback on defective material to QC, Manufacturing and Purchasing.
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with Purchasing, Planning, Production, Sales and Marketing, Human Resources, Health & Safety, IT, and Finance.
  • Assist in the development and planning of future initiatives to improve warehouse operations processes; carry out and manage execution and change management plans.
  • Facilitate employee training and drive accountability for process improvements.
  • Lead activities related to material returns.
  • Determine the most costeffective material disposition (i.e. return to inventory, disposal methods, recycle, auction, etc.) approach is applied for inventory.
  • Work with internal customers and other staff in the disposal and recycling of products, material and equipment.
  • Must pass preemployment Drug & Alcohol Testing

Primary Qualifications Required:


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Certification in lean/continuous improvement would be considered an asset
