Description
The Electrical Technician is responsible for assembling, soldering, wiring, and testing various components. This includes the manufacture/ assembly of the electrical panel, pump/blower(s), the wiring of tables, testing of options, sub-components, final assembly, and quality assurance.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Reads work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine established assembly methods

Cuts wire to specified lengths using wire cutters

Soldering abilities:
-
Crimps terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using a hand or machine crimping device
:
-
Connects wiring to accessories, such as relays, plugs, condensers, switches, and solenoids:
-
Installs accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units using a soldering gun and hand tools
:
-
Conducts functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harnesses, and plugs, using an ohmmeter and other electrical testing instruments

May attach headers, terminals, and mounting studs to etched circuit boards.

Related post-secondary education (diploma) required i

Able to solder

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office:

Knowledge of and experience working with tools, concepts, and electrical methodologies:
