    Responsibilities


    • Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements and project proposals;
    • Mange project scoping, design, execution and building phases (installation, commission, site acceptance startup-up);
    • Ensure compliance with specified requirements, specifications, and contractual constraints;
    • Ensure compliance with internal project management processes
    • Ensure proper project completion, including commissioning, documentation, drawings, close out of punch list items, and training where appropriate;
    • Provide weekly and monthly report on project performance metrics;
    • Align multiple stakeholders internally and externally;
    • Coordinate or direct the work of external consultants, contractors and vendors;
    • Build relationships with vendors;
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the numerous department stakeholders' expectations and expert contributions and how they can contribute to the project success;
    • Communicating recommendations to management and other effected parties in a way that facilitates favorable project outcomes;
    • Soliciting internal and / or external expertise when outside of core technical capabilities;
    • Manage and steward safety within projects;
    • Perform, participate in, or coordinate feasibility studies, cost estimates, investment valuations, decision summaries, risk analyses and conceptual plans, preliminary and detailed design work;
    • Perform technical reviews of vendors/contractor's qualifications and capabilities;
    • Identify and communicate various risks associated with all stages of asset life cycle;
    • Support the development and implementation of TransCanada's project management tools, standards and processes to support the implementation of capital and maintenance programs within Canada;
    • Assist with planning, directing, and monitoring the work of team members and team leads.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project engineers.
    • Turnover completed projects to operations teams
    • Other tasks as required.
    Qualifications


    • Solid understanding of project management methodologies;
    • Demonstrated expertise with Project Management processes, tools and techniques;
    • Ability to positively influence others not directly under your supervision;
    • Sound planning and decision-making ability in a fast-paced and continuously changing work environment;
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present project status to internal and external stakeholders including management.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation and leadership;
    • Focused and proven ability to align team objectives with project drivers;
    • Strong team orientation, demonstrating a high level of cooperation and collaboration;
    • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills;
    • Proven ability to manage projects that have competing challenges and timelines and complex technical and construction issues;
    • Excellent change management skills and discipline;
    • A general knowledge;
    • SCADA systems;

    • Core information technologies;
    • Software development;
    Education/Experience


    • Bachelor's degree in Science (Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science) or Project Management certificate with technical diploma in a related field;
    • 8 or more years of related experience;
    • Minimum of 4 years of SCADA experiences relating to Oil and Gas SCADA environments;
