As a post-disaster construction prices watch analyst, you will be responsible for collecting and validating price data, as well as creating and publishing lists, reports and indicators for property damage appraisers at Desjardins or at our partners.

You are a reference person in the organization, and you analyze and handle requests related to your publications.


Using your ability to make quality decisions, you will contribute to the resolution of problems, recommend changes or adjustments to work methods and procedures, and participate in their development in order to optimize their quality and efficiency.

You will join the national team for the

Claims Vice Presidency:
Budget & Property Performance.

General Information on the Position


Main responsibilities- Identify, analyze and document users' data needs and help operationalize solutions- Use database management systems to generate and update reports that give users a streamlined picture of results- Identify opportunities to improve work methods and develop data management tools- Provide advice for selecting, implementing and using data management tools- Identify, prepare, describe, interpret and validate data needed for analyses, and make suitable recommendations to support decision-making.

Other working conditions- Workplace: Position located in Aurora, Mississauga, Montréal or Lévis, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work #LI-Hybrid- Number of jobs available: 1


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Experience and interest in the construction field (builder, emergency, estimating, hardware store, distributor, etc.)
  • Experience where attention to detail and being methodical were important
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered- For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (an asset)- Proficiency in the Xactware / Verisk product suite (an asset)- Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
