In this position you will be reporting to the Plating & Processing Supervisor. As the Process Technician - Ovens, you will be responsible for maintaining demand for production requirements. The intention of the role is spend 50% of your time operating ovens and 50% Nital etching components.

Shift Hours - Weekend Nights Shift - Friday - Sunday (6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.)

Primary Responsibilities (Oven):

Part loading and unloading and the general support of the process facility
Ensure strict attention is paid to temperatures, times in and out, batching of parts, logging and tracking of components
Ensure both the safety of the operator and the components
Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)
Communicate and coordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedure
Perform other duties as required
Preparation of components for plating processes (i.e. masking, cleaning, tooling)
Active participation in the implementation and execution of lean principles
Perform other duties as assigned

Primary Responsibilities (Nital Etch):

Etching of aircraft components during the manufacturing process;
Read OP sketches and work instructions to identify with requirements
Maintain acceptable production, quality levels, and departmental equipment, as well as practice safety in the workplace and maintain good housekeeping
Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Typically 2 years of related manufacturing experience
Previous formal crane training required
Demonstrated experience in material handling and hoist operations required
Must be in good physical condition and be able to lift up to 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to work well in a team
Demonstrated experience with Nital etching would be considered an asset
Strong PC skills
