Our client, a prominent independent group in the Greater Toronto Area, boasts ownership of over 10 distinguished car dealerships.

With a legacy built on excellence, they have a dynamic team of 500 employees dedicated to exceptional service and innovation.

As they continue to evolve and expand, they are seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their executive leadership team and report directly to the CEO and Founder.


Responsibilities:


  • Drive operational excellence across all dealership locations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and toptier customer service.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Founder on setting comprehensive goals for performance, growth strategies, and companywide initiatives.
  • Oversee the management of dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, finance, and administration.
  • Design and implement operational processes, guidelines, and best practices to optimize performance.
  • Lead the team of 500, promoting a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and accountability.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, OEM partners, and vendors to foster strong relationships and optimize business opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, identifying opportunities and threats in the market.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Ensure all dealerships comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
  • Implement new technologies and systems to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a COO or in a similar senior leadership role, ideally within the automotive dealership sector.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage diverse operations.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities, with strong interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Proficient in modern dealership management systems and software.
  • Strategic visionary with sound analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or a relevant field.
  • Unyielding commitment to the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.
