    Description

    Western Mechanical is hiring multiple full-time AZ/DZ Drivers to support the Transportation department at our company in Barrie, Ontario. Local positions are available with long haul and US runs available/optional.

    Required:

    · Valid AZ or DZ licence

    · Clean drivers abstract

    · 3-5 years of commercial driving experience

    · Hard working, team player, and a positive attitude

    Preferred Assets:

    · Knowledge of Load Securement Procedures

    · Experience moving machinery

    · Heavy lift and hydraulic trailer experience

    · The ability to communicate effectively with dispatch and customers

    · Willingness to occasionally run Canadian and/or US Long Haul if required

    License:

    · AZ or DZ Licence (Required)

    · Clean driver's abstract (Required)

    Term, Hours of Work and Compensation:

    · We expect to compensate the successful candidate at hourly rates consistent with market expectations and based on experience.

    · 50 hours + available per week, with overtime pay after 60 hours.

    · Benefits, GRSP, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available after 3-month probationary period.

    · This is a full-time position.

    · The role is entitled to vacation pay and paid statutory holidays.
