Detailed Overview:

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

Reporting to the Leader, Culture Transformation, the Lead, Resilience and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), provides organizational leadership for resiliency, personal and team renewal and trauma response for providers; provides oversight for the people and organization development processes concerning health and wellness of staff and trauma and critical incidence responses.

The Lead is responsible for the organizational strategy, planning, implementation and evaluation of an authority wide resiliency and CISM program.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides leadership for the Resiliency and CISM program ensuring the strategic focus, design and implementation of the resiliency education and CISM response are aligned with the needs of the organization.
  • Supervises the work of the CISM Specialist including orientation, training, mentoring, performance reviews and career development planning.
  • Oversees the development of programs that enables manager/leader capacity, skills and abilities that identify and respond to resiliency needs. Partners with these leaders and teams on building hardiness after critical incidents experienced by staff.
  • Provides leadership and implements and evaluates instructional programs, training and educational material to promote understanding of the impact of critical incident stress in the workplace.
  • Partners with Communications to develop and implement a communication strategy to increase awareness about resiliency and available critical incident supports.
  • Provides leadership and professional consulting services in relation to resiliency education and critical incident interventions for staff, physicians and volunteers of Fraser Health.
  • Develops implements and evaluates standards of practice, procedures and protocols for anticipating, recognizing, preventing and/or mitigating the impact of critical incident stress in the workplace.
  • Recruits, monitors and supports the resiliency education and CISM practice work of external practitioners. Monitors the budget and authorizes external CISM practitioner payments.
  • Develops and evaluates measurement indicators, audit processes, data collection and analysis tools to assess effectiveness of the critical incident stress management program; makes recommendations on findings to the Leader.
  • Builds partnerships with internal and external services to develop an integrated service delivery model for employees. Acts in concert with other FH Leaders in liaising with EAP, WorkSafeBC Critical Incident Response program and other external resources.
  • Identifies research pertinent to resiliency and CISM strategies and practice that assists in shaping the Fraser Health Resiliency and CISM program.

Qualifications
:
Education and Experience

Master's Degree in Clinical Counselling, Psychology or Social Work.

Registered member of an applicable professional organization.

Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License and a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
