Location:

Any SGI location in Saskatchewan or Manitoba - This role is eligible for hybrid work - this means you'll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office on a scheduled rotation once probation requirements have been met.

Until then, the successful incumbent will be expected to work on-site, full-time.


The Claims Technical Analyst is responsible for working collaboratively with the Corporate Claims Portfolio Manager to gather data and identify patterns and trends to support the continuous improvement of the claims experience.

Responsible for monitoring claims standards and procedures to ensure consistency and alignment with established framework and KPIs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Claims Product and Process Analysis- Creates reports and dashboards to support the implementation of industry best practices in claims management and the continuous improvement of claims standards, procedures, and guidelines.- Analyzes report data to identify new patterns or trends.- Compiles and analyzes new and existing competitor and industry information.- Monitors and identifies regulatory changes in each region and prepares summary of the changes, dates, etc.


Claims Product Performance Management, Monitoring & Reporting- Continuously monitors and analyzes claims data (procedures, stakeholder feedback, claims transactions and performance) to assist in evaluating the outcomes of current standards and procedures for effectiveness, quality, and compliance.- Monitors and reviews current claims reports and collaborates with reporting and analytics to improve reporting and analytical tools.- Monitors and reviews claim handling to ensure best practices and governance are being followed.- Collaborates with Corporate Claims Training in the review, development, and coordination of training requirements to ensure alignment with standards and procedures.- Works with stakeholders to review and update handbooks and/or manuals.


Collaboration and Relationship Management- Assists the Corporate Claims Specialist in obtaining and providing reporting and analysis on claims performance, in accordance with defined procedures and guidelines, to identify improvement needs that are more closely aligned to customer needs.

- Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Proficient ability to understand business imperatives and drivers, find relevant data correlations, and recommend changes that help drive the business.- Proficient skills in using Microsoft Office 36- Proficient knowledge of how business procedures and internal controls interact to support corporate operations.- Proficient knowledge of the principles and practices of insurance, coverages of applicable insurance products and related provincial/federal legislation and regulations for the applicable line (Property, or Injury or Auto).


EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS- A four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Business or Mathematics & Applied Sciences, or defined equivalency.

EXPERIENCE years' experience in a business analytical role (e.g., performing analysis of business problems/data to identify solutions/trends).


Pay Range:
$69, $88,272.00
