Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations Excellence, the

Lead Analyst, Sales Planning & Insights acts as a senior business partner to the Biopharma & Provider Solutions ("BPS") and Finance organizations to ensure teams have advanced analytics and insights that (i) augment their experience and intuition to make sound business decisions and (ii) unlock additional value for both McKesson and its biopharma or provider customers.


With this role, you will support lines of business within BPS in terms of pricing, financial planning, and analytics pertaining to business, customer, and market performance.

You will co-design, implement, maintain, and track pricing strategies for our Patients Support Programs and other manufacturer and provider facing lines of business.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to interpret sales and transform results/trends into meaningful insights that enable the success of our internal and external customers.

You will create and leverage complex models and dashboards from internal and external data sources, in collaboration with our data & analytics ("D&A") team, to drive an impactful dialogue on hindsight, insight, and foresight.

You will also be asked to execute other related advanced analytics activities.


Responsibilities

  • Develops pricing strategies to meet customers' needs while providing a profit for McKesson, aggregating impacts on all BPS lines of business.
  • Plays key analytical role in RFPs in partnership with colleagues from Business Development and Finance.
  • Determines core business costs of service in support of pricing development to ensure incremental benefits to overall McKesson.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains pricing infrastructures for BPS offerings (incl. manufacturerfacing analytics developed by BPS).
  • Evaluates effectiveness of pricing strategies and modify pricing structures as needed, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
  • Partners with Finance to provide reporting and documentation of pricing structures and serves as the pointofcontact for pricing inquiries from internal teams, but not customers.
  • Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, expenses, and other areas of the BPS businesses.
  • Leads the creation, tracking, budgeting, and forecasting of sales with internal customer teams, business development, and finance executives.
  • Researches economic progressions to assist the financial planning of the BPS lines of business.
  • Designs, develops, and publishes Key Performance Indicators in Power BI to various stakeholders of the BPS and Finance organizations, in partnership with our D&A team.
  • Closely collaborates and communicates with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, and Business Development teams to promote alignment and partnership.
  • Responsible for the adhoc development of insights via analysis and modeling of operational, economic, organizational, and external data.
  • Provides datadriven recommendations to specific new and complex problems related to any of the customer groups managed by the BPS business unit. Develops innovative strategies in partnerships with customerfacing teams to these problems to strengthen the stickiness of business relationships.
  • Quantifies the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets.
  • Reports on economic forecasts that affect the business in key therapeutic areas and for specific molecules, evaluating the potential impacts of market changes.
  • Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions.
  • Develops and maintains internal and external networks to support knowledge gathering and sustainable sharing of best practices in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics across McKesson Canada.
  • Recommends creation and adoption of new tools for advanced analytics in line with customer and business needs.
  • Identifies and reviews opportunities for continuous improvement with the Sr. Director; makes recommendations and implements solutions, as required.
