THE ROLE:
As a Gaming Community Manager & Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how gamers experience and connect with AMD. You'll lead and grow our player community across Discord, forums, and social platforms creating vibrant, engaging spaces where customers become long-term fans and advocates.
Working closely with social, marketing, product, and influencer teams, you'll design and execute community programs that amplify launches, deepen player relationships, and elevate AMD's presence in gaming culture. This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where creativity, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of gamers come together to build meaningful, high-energy community experiences.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate is a passionate community builder who genuinely understands gaming culture and thrives in online environments. You are highly communicative, adaptable in tone, and comfortable engaging with players, moderators, and internal partners alike. You bring a strategic mindset balanced with hands-on execution, and you know how to foster inclusive, fun, and safe spaces while empowering others to do the same.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with moderation workflows, Discord bots and integrations, and community management tools.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
