We are located in Tilbury Industrial Park in Delta BC, with four ways to get here - the Massey Tunnel, Alex Fraser Bridge, South Fraser Perimeter Rd., and Hwy 99.

About the Position:

Afternoon Shift:

Day Shift
Monday to Thursday (10 Hour Shifts) 5:00 am to 3:30 pm

Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare jobs.
Create layouts.
Read, analyze and interpret shop drawings.
Fabrication and forming of mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Safely rig components for lifting.
Assure the quality of work produced is acceptable to company standards and specifications.
Maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience operating a CNC machine brake press. 235ton accurpress that uses vision control software and/or 400ton Mitsubishi, 40040 diamond elite are the machines that we have.
Excellent understanding of steel fabrication techniques as well as steel grades and shapes.
Must be able to calculate stretch outs as well as selecting proper dies.
Must be able to work with both imperial and metric measurements.
Must be able to use a Vernier Caliper working to very tight tolerances.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret shop drawings.
Experience maximizing the utilization of materials and minimizing waste of materials.
Basic computer skills are required to use the inhouse job board.
Clear communication in written and spoken English.
Ability to stand for long hours (lots of bending is required).
Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
