about this team

The Social Impact Operations Lead supports the development, execution and project management of the global impact programs and systems within the lululemon Centre for Social Impact.

Together with our partners, we disrupt inequity in wellbeing through movement, mindfulness and advocacy.

This role is part of a high growth team, developing and stewarding a best-in-class global social impact program to achieve our goal of positively impacting 10 million people.

As an individual contributor, the role leads the development of operational improvements and ongoing maintenance of systems and processes that accelerate the company towards our Impact Agenda goals.

This role is designed for someone who is passionate about technology, data management, and operational excellence through efficient processes and systems.


a day in the life:
what you'll do

  • Systems management: Bring a global lens to the development, implementation and oversight of our grant management and impact engagement systems. This requires a strong understanding of best practices for technology implementation, grantmaking, data management, impact tracking and reporting. Acts as an internal consultant with technology and establishes meaningful traceability between business requirements, technical requirements, and architecture design.
  • Program operations and granting: Develop and implement processes and procedures for grant fidelity, including but not limited to organization and execution of global granting, efficient grant disbursement, and impact reporting throughout grant life cycle. Lead data collection and create process to support equitable analysis.
  • Finance, accounting and tax: Ensure we have systems, processes and procedures in place to manage global financial operations across multiple departments and budgets. This includes support on annual budgeting process, creating taxefficient processes and procedures, budget management across programs and tracking inkind support.
  • Crossfunctional engagement: Collaborate with leaders and internal stakeholders (Technology, Finance, Legal, and Brand) on key business initiatives, programs, resource planning and special projects.
  • Project management: Lead on strategic shortterm projects and longterm initiatives that support our overall grantmaking and Impact Agenda goals.

  • Strategic and analytical thinking to solve problems by identifying the root cause within a system
  • Brings knowledge of best practices in grants management, impact reporting, and fidelity to inform decisions, create plans and contribute recommendations for improvement
  • Excellent communication skills interpersonal, written and verbal and can navigate challenging conversations while being a steward of the lululemon brand and culture
  • Agile and adaptable, asks questions to gain understanding, creates plans to drive results, and execute with strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or other related discipline preferred, but not necessary
  • 5+ years of work experience and demonstrated success as a collaborative project manager in systems and budget management, with a strong understanding of information technology
  • Proficiency with grant administration + CRM platform such as Salesforce or similar
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet
  • Role is based in Vancouver, BC
