About the role
As the Nursing Practice Consultant, you will deliver professional nursing and educational support in relation to harm reduction to improve nursing practice standards in communities.
You will also support the planning and implementation of training and skill development activities for communities and community nurses employed in the delivery of nursing care.
Qualifications:
About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be -
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Training related to Harm Reduction, Take Home Naloxone, substance use, addictions, mental health and trauma informed practice
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP)
You may have;
- Three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse providing clinical practice support in primary care, community and/or public health nursing or acute care, ambulatory care and/or outpatient centres
- Two (2) years of experience caring for clients who use substances with a Harm Reduction framework
