As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.

Responsibilities:


  • Undertakes policy research, analysis and development in areas associated with the FNHA's mandate and Multi-Year Health Plan.
  • Provides policy advice and support services to senior policy analysts, management and others as required.
  • Undertakes project, program, and initiative planning.
  • Supports the coordination of activities and information with representatives of the FNHA and partners as required.
  • Identifies and monitors issues, analyzes developments and research international, federal, provincial and First Nations policies and processes as relevant to the FNHA's mandate and Multi-Year Health Plan.
  • Supports the research and preparation of briefings, briefing notes, reports, publications.
  • Attends and summarizes meetings, propose, and provide followup, including briefing others as required.
  • Supports the development of verbal or written status reports as required.
  • Undertakes meeting support as required.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships internally and externally to the organization.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • University Degree in a related field such as health policy, public policy, planning, political or social science.
  • Experience of policy development and analysis.
  • Experience with First Nations communities an asset.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:


  • Knowledge of working with First Nations and First Nations health programs and services.
  • Aptitude in analyzing information and conducting environmental scans on policy areas.
  • Ability to develop partnerships and positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Writing skills.
  • Skills in using

Microsoft Office Skills:
Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (basic).
