Your Future Role:


A Fabricator Apprentice is responsible for reading & understanding schematics and blueprints and fabricating metal parts and structures per the customer request, working with mostly stainless steel.

As a Fabricator Apprentice you are a key point in assisting the team, learning, and developing skills to proceed towards becoming fully licensed.

It is crucial that our Fabricator Apprentice promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Layout (fitting)
  • Use of brake, shear and saw
  • Use of iron worker
  • Welding
  • Polishing/finishing welds
  • Assist with various shop projects, including shop maintenance
  • Fabrication of various jobs/projects
  • Able to read blueprints/drawing/sketches
  • Knowledge of Tri-Mach Group Inc. HACCP and GMP guidelines and practices
  • Read and understand schematics and blueprints
  • Conduct quality control checks
  • Work closely with designers & engineers & product development
  • Accurate and timely completion of all daily paperwork
  • Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
  • In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Completion of High School or equivalent
  • Previous fabrication experience considered a strong asset
  • Previous experience in another trade considered an asset
  • TIG welding experience considered a strong asset
  • CWB tickets considered a strong asset
  • You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
  • You operate with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team
  • You have the ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues
  • You are able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately
  • You are a straight shooter who gets to the point and can clearly communicate in both oral and written form
