    Job Summary:

    As a Research Scientist specializing in Molecular Biology within our immunology unit based at the Senneville site, you will be in charge of planning and executing scientific testing approaches and studies, directing assay development, validation, and study conduct, examining and interpreting study data, communicating findings to clients, writing final reports, and ensuring compliance with protocols and SOPs. You will also troubleshoot and resolve laboratory-related issues, introduce new technologies or enhancements, and provide consultancy to clients and regulatory authorities.



    In this position, your responsibilities may involve:

    • Supporting non-clinical studies on vector biodistribution/shedding and/or gene expression for safety and/or efficacy assessment;
    • Developing, optimizing, and utilizing qPCR, RT-qPCR, ddPCR, DNA/RNA isolation/quantification assays;
    • Preparing scientific documents, reviewing and interpreting results;
    • Addressing scientific problems, troubleshooting analytical methods and technical challenges;
    • Communicating results to clients and offering advice based on knowledge, experience, best practices, and regulatory guidelines;
    • Managing scientific projects and technical resources involved in study execution.

    Job Qualifications:

    If you meet the following criteria, we will provide training in other areas:

    • Experience in Molecular Biology;
    • Hold a M.Sc. or PhD in Immunology, microbiology, virology, or a related scientific field, or possess relevant experience;
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills;
    • Fluent in French and English, with a preference for bilingualism;
    • Familiarity with GLP (preferred).

    About Safety Assessment:

    Charles River is dedicated to supporting our partners in expediting their preclinical drug development through exceptional safety assessment services, cutting-edge facilities, and expert regulatory guidance.
