- Conduct conceptual and detailed design engineering work on mechanical equipment and systems
- Mentor staff to enhance their performance
- Coordinate large-scale projects with technical and commercial complexity
- Lead project teams in design, development, procurement, assembly, testing, and commissioning
- Prepare various design documentation and proposals ensuring alignment with customer requirements and nuclear standards
- Ensure quality, cost, and schedule adherence
- Execute engineering activities following safety and quality best practices
- Interact with clients to fulfill engineering deliverables
- Establish technical approaches to meet project requirements
- University degree in an engineering or science field
- PEO designation preferred
- 12 years of experience in machine design with team leadership experience
- Demonstrated capability in managing complex technical projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a Canadian nuclear facility is a plus
- Ability to obtain and maintain Level 2 security clearance
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites

As a Mechanical Engineering Specialist, you will report to the Director of Retube, Inspection, and Maintenance Systems, and be involved in various Refurbishment or New build projects on the Fuel Handling team. This position is based at the Candu Energy Inc. headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario starting in June.Candu Energy Inc. is a prominent nuclear technology company that provides nuclear power reactors and services globally, with a team of 1,400 skilled employees dedicated to delivering cutting-edge CANDU reactors and related projects.
