Responsibilities:


Day-to-Day Duties:


  • Provides daytoday direction and control of work to ensure priorities are met
  • Supervision of maintenance team and external contractors
  • Ensure Collective Bargaining Agreement is understood and wellmanaged.
  • Champion plant and shop housekeeping for maintenance crew and contractors.

Planning, Scheduling and Coordination:


  • Lead weekly scheduling and coordination meetings with stakeholders, including maintenance, production and technical team leads.
  • Ensure adherence to preventative maintenance schedule while minimizing plant down time due to unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Ensure maintenance PM tasks are in place and executed on time and on budget.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of plant shutdowns and major maintenance projects.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of capital and maintenance projects
  • Assist plant and corporate engineering to specify equipment and materials for plant processes.
  • Provide sound technical support in resolution of electrical and instrumentation problems.
Team Duties

  • Assist Maintenance Manager performing the following tasks:
  • Recruit top talent in tradesmen and staff positions within the maintenance department.
  • Train, coach, develop and mentor the maintenance team.
  • Ensure maintenance and contractor compliance to plant and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Environmental, Construction and Engineering, codes and regulations.
  • Communicate annual maintenance goals (KPI's) and track results
  • Complete Annual performance management with maintenance department personnel.
  • Develop Annual Maintenance and Capital budgets.

Qualifications:


  • Electrical Engineering degree OR Electrical Engineering diploma from a technical college OR relevant Electrical Trades Qualification with related industrial experience.
  • Minimum 35 years of industrial/plant electrical maintenance experience.
  • Experience with high voltage power (< 69kV) substations and equipment.
  • FSR 'A' certification or desire to pursue the FSR 'A' certification.
  • Experience with DC rectifiers and power transformers.
  • Experience with Digital Control Systems (DCS), preferably Foxboro.
  • Strong communication and timemanagement skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and environmental protection.

Salary Range:
