    Lake of the Woods District Hospital is actively seeking Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) throughout the hospital.

    Our hospital offers opportunities in a variety of specialty areas as well as opportunities throughout many of the other programs such as Acute Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, Acute Medical/Surgical and Mental Health.

    LWDH is dedicated to ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities to enhance skillsets and working experience. We offer in-house training opportunities to enhance skillset and learn specialty areas.

    For Full-time positions:

    ~Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan enrolment, one of Canada's largest defined benefit pension plans that includes portability, inflation protections, survivor benefits, buyback options, and early retirement

    For Casual/Part-time positions:

    Access to staff physiotherapy, onsite gym, Employee LifeWorks Program, staff wellness initiatives, and much more
    Must be able to function independently and demonstrate competence in Acute Care and/or Complex Continuing Care Nursing Practice within an RPN scope of practice
    Certification in IV Therapy for RPN's with demonstrated ongoing competence
    Certification in Blood Glucose Monitoring and demonstrated continuing competence in BGM through annual recertification
    Competent to deliver medications in an acute care setting
    Demonstrates a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
    Knowledge of First Nations Culture an asset

    The Lake of the Woods District Hospital is an accredited healthcare facility located on iconic Lake of the Woods in Kenora, Ontario.

    Currently, we are in the process of working collaboratively with All Nations Health Partners to plan and build a new All Nations Hospital, providing existing staff the ability to shape the future of healthcare in Kenora.
