POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the CIO, the Vice-president, Digital Portfolio Management and Product Orchestration will be acting as a key member of the Information Technology leadership team, the primary focus will be to work in close partnership with the business and IT teams to lead and orchestrate the team responsible of a portfolio of digital initiatives that deliver client value and business performance as part of BDC's renewed ambition.
The incumbent will have to provide strategic direction and oversight for the implementation of long and short-term strategic and operational plans for BDC's execution strategy that aligns with the organization's strategic priorities and business needs.
The incumbent will also provide expertise on value driven strategic portfolio management strategies, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to drive business results and scale enterprise Agility.
The incumbent is responsible to develop key relationships within the businesses and corporate functions, as well as broadly across the organization to facilitate the integration of Agile ways of working and Digital Product management best practices.
This role will be responsible for providing the talents, leadership, and guidance to several delivery teams in a matrix environment.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
This will require building and communicating the optimal execution path forward, designing/leading disciplined processes to execute strategic initiatives as well as developing financial and operational analytics to inform and track key metrics.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education & background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or in a related field and/or a minimum of 15 years of IT large scale project management experience, including working with senior executives on transformational initiatives
- Strong business and process knowledge, technology implementation, change management, largescale portfolio management, financial planning and budgeting
- Experience leading teams in a matrix environment across large scale implementations
Agile and Digital Transformation experience:
- Experience in leading organizational wide implementation and adoption of Agile ways of working
- Proven results in implementing the talent, processes, and tools in the transition from a project based to a product driven value delivery approach
- Ability to influence and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture in integrating sustainable architecture guidelines in the digital delivery roadmap
