Responsibilities:

Anchoring newscasts and general assignment reporting
Producing newscasts
Researching information for accuracy, generating enterprising and relevant story ideas
Covering stories outside of the station live and on location
Writing clear and interesting copy for air and digital platforms
Presenting stories in an interesting manner while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and accuracy
Reading nightly radio newscasts
Uptodate knowledge of social media
Regularly posts content and engages with audiences on social media platforms
Represent CTV at community events
Other duties as required

Critical Qualifications:

5 years of anchoring experience in a major market
Ability to ad lib, interview and gooff prompter as required
Strong onair and communication skills in breaking news coverage
Excels at breaking and enterprising significant, local stories
Works with news producers and manages building the newscasts
Works well under pressure while meeting tight deadlines onair, online and on social media
Demonstrates a positive, teamorientated and 'cando' attitude
Valid G class driver's license and a good driving record are required
