  • Their product costing methodologies in ways that drive profitability analysis, pricing strategies, and distribution strategies
  • Their chart of accounts and reporting dimensions
  • Customer credit, invoicing and AR processes to support their B2B business models
  • Procuretopay workflows and processes
  • Critical financial KPIs and metrics to drive decisionmaking


Once the new systems and processes are implemented, you will lead the day-to-day finance function and participate in strategic decision-making.


  • Oversee all accounting functions large and small ensuring that the accounting team is operating at maximum efficiency and productivity, enabling the company to thrive and grow including AP, AR, taxes and general accounting functions.
  • Build and oversee daytoday bookkeeping team.
  • Preparing, managing and presenting financial dashboards
  • Completing internal reports that compare actual performance results to budget
  • Provide reliable, accurate, meaningful and timely financial information to operational, managerial and executive decisionmakers.
  • Be responsible for leading the development of annual capital and operational budgets and providing results on key performance indicators for the business.
  • Create and implement financial controls to prevent fraud and theft
  • Ongoing variance analysis and investigation
  • Establishing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring the integrity of databases and information reported
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial legal requirements
  • Leading yearend audits. This includes assisting auditors and ensuring proper documentation is provided for the audit.

Your day-to-day:
If you're looking for a boring cubicle job crunching numbers, this job is not for you. Expect new challenges and opportunities to build, grow and share your skillset on a daily basis. Regular hours are 9-5 Monday through Friday with built-in flexibility for family commitments and flex hours.


What you bring:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity
  • CPA designation
  • Experience as a Controller
  • Experience and strong, demonstrated computer skills, particularly with Excel and ERPs.
  • Experience auditing or preparing financial statements under IFRS
  • Experience working in small/midsized companies. Retail industry and ecommerce experience
