Big Data Technical Lead - Mississauga, Canada - Citi
Description
Responsibilities:
- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
- Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through indepth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
- Provide indepth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
- Serve as advisor or coach to midlevel developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
Qualifications:
- 610 years of relevant experience in big data development, demonstrated evidence working in ETL development
- Experience in big data technologies
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
- Experience in banking domain is a must.
- Knowledge on Anti Money Laundering is desirable
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Technology Platform:
- Mandatory Big Data experience: Hadoop, Hive, External vs Managed Tables, PySpark, Scala-Spark, ETL Optimization and Deployment, ETL Dependency Analysis, Impact Analysis, Scheduling Workflows, Coordinator and Bash Scripting, MapReduce, HBase, Sqoop, Kafka, HDFS, Immutable, Atomic and RDS Layer Management, Talend, and Sqoop.
- Programming: Linux Shell Programming, Python
- Advanced SQL Knowledge, Query Performance Tuning, Oracle
- Proficiency in Data Modeling and data analysis. ETL Development using distributed processing on Big data
- Data Quality, data profiling, data reconciliation implementation using json or similar metadata based frameworks
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) S
- CI-CD (Jenkins, build Management), Autosys, HPQC
- Agile, Kanban, Atlassian, JIRA, Bit-Bucket, MS-Excel
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
