- This is a remote role must be located in the GTA_
Business Overview:
Operations Controls provides centralized governance to key operational functions within Client Services, including support for ongoing operational change and regulatory reporting.
The Operations Controls Specialist is responsible for the ongoing review and assessment of various compliance reports, including but not limited to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF), National Instrument 81-102, High Risk Redemption report, and other regulatory reports.
In addition, responsibilities will include working closely with the Cash Management team to ensure the timely handling of outbound electronic payments such as wire payments, Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) and Fundserv A$M.
The Operations Controls Specialist will serve as SME to the division for regulatory topics such as privacy breaches, fraud, and NIKey Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Generate and review compliance reporting in the prescribed time. Communicate and evidence any relevant issues to the appropriate departments or management for resolution.
- Review and approve for release all Wire, EFT, and A$M payments.
- Support the unclaimed property process by remediating staledated cheques appearing on the Outstanding Cheque Report.
- Review and approve for release tax payments to CRA and the provinces.
- Supports Fidelity Values and Other Job Responsibilities.
- Twoyear postsecondary program.
- Minimum 2 years related work experience in account administration within the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of Trade Settlements and NI is an asset.
- Canadian Investment Funds Course or Canadian Investment Funds Operations Course is an asset.
- Strong organization skills with ability to multitask.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced work environment with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Works well in a team environment, as well as working independently on individual tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Office an asset.
