Our services encompass integrated structural engineering, building envelope, restoration, special projects, renovations consulting, advanced performance analysis, bridge design, construction engineering, and fire consulting services for both new and existing structures.
We're looking for a Content Specialist, based in Calgary or Toronto, for a 14 month contract.
You will write and edit a broad range of content for a fast paced and creative Marketing and Communications team.
What will you do?
- Research, write, and edit copy for communications materials, including but not limited to: feature articles, project profiles, sales sheets, credentials packages, web copy, presentations, and more
- Work with the Marketing and Communications team to produce effective content that will convert traffic to leads by understanding industry trends and client mindsets
- Shared ownership of editorial calendar management and any related design needs
- Conduct research to clarify content needs, requirements, and objectives while gathering insights, source materials, and feedback
- Gain a solid understanding of our stakeholder needs, our service offering, and the AEC industry
- Adhere to brand guidelines and ensure all content maintains the correct voice with the end client in mind
- Support SMEs and various services groups with internal communications crafting and editing
- Work with Marketing and Communications team to keep external website and internal intranet updated, posting recent articles and news items as well as copy changes as required.
Requirements:
What will you need to succeed?
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a content writing profession (content creator, writer, copywriter, journalist, etc.)
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, English, Journalism, and or/related field
- Strong, proven written communication skills
- Ability to effectively solve problems and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability as a quality writer and copy editor for both print and digital channels
- Solid understanding of branding and how to communicate with a specific voice
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to comfortably work in a fastpaced environment

- SEO and GA experience considered high value additional skills
- Experience in a professional services environment
- Experience in social media content creation
- Experience with CRM software
- Experience with web platforms, such as WordPress and Wix
