Summary:
Assists Operators on Film Lines to coordinate work activities for the Film Lines and ensure safe manufacture of quality products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Check and confirm the production schedule at the beginning of the shift.
- Consult with the Operator and follow instructions regarding priority product change.
- Be knowledgeable regarding machinery function and operation.
- Ensure that sufficient supplies are in the production area before the product is changed.
- Perform the product change on the line, if knowledgeable.
- Monitor the lines in the event that the Operator is unavailable or busy.
- Perform screen changes when the lines go down.
- Performs winder operations and minor online maintenance
- Assist Operators in setting up and starting up lines.
- Identify visual defects in film and materials/supplies.
- Performs basic quality checks of finished film products.
- Help Assistants in packaging finished products when necessary.
- Take the readings and delete the totals on the blenders at the end of any batch.
- Review and record the actual blend on an active batch.
- Record the recycle lot # used or the new lot # to be used for each and every batch running.
- Review hand truck, hoist, and lift truck daily inspection logs and report to the Operator.
- Report to the Operator in charge and Supervisor of any hazards on the machines.
- Provide relief for the Operator during any breaks.
- Understand and comply with all Company Safety Rules and processes.
- Understand and comply with all HACCP and GMP policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Extrusion or Plastic experience required
- Secondary school education
- 2 years related work experience
- Excellent communication and team skills.

Machine Operator: 2 years (preferred)
