    As a key member of our client's Planning and Development Services portfolio, you will be responsible for both existing and new projects, focusing on custom web development and vendor management.

    Responsibilities

    The Project Manager will be responsible for the scope of the project, defining the project plan, coordination, scheduling, monitoring and management of the project team and delivering a solution that meets The City's current and future requirements.

    Will also be responsible in participating in agile scrums

    Qualifications

    Mandatory Skills:

    • Five (5) years' IT project management experience (the majority of this experience should have been practiced in accordance with the generally recognized good practices identified in PMI�s PMBOK Guide, in recent years).
    • 5 years experience leading small to mid-sized projects
    • 5 years experience creating resource plans

    Desired Skills:

    • Of this experience, at least three (3) of the years should have been on medium to large technology projects, as defined by both size and complexity (size of projects may be defined in terms of budget, staff involvement, organizational impact, risk profile, complexity/number of stakeholders, and size of organization).
    • Three (3) years' experience leading and supporting multidisciplinary project teams consisting of internal staff from IT and clients, contractors, and vendors.
    • Three (3) years' experience with project resource planning, including participation in project team resourcing.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage complex relationships with groups/individuals with varying perspectives, interest and roles.
    • Strong leadership, planning and analytic skills.
    • Well-developed facilitation and mediation skills including ability to work with a diverse audience and reach a consensus on critical project decisions.
    • The ability to undertake multiple projects, manage competing demand s, prioritize and adjust resources.
    • Previous work experience in the public sector or large organizations; and
    • Formal training and /or certification in project management (e.g., PMI Project Management Professional) is an asset.
