ABOUT US

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION


Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Electrical Foreman will be responsible for effectively delivering the electrical portion of the project to ensure Aecon Construction Solutions Inc.

achieves their general and specific project requirements.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with clients. Respond to inquiries promptly and carry out work as required to satisfy client requests and project quality standards
  • Assist maintenance in scheduling equipment preventative maintenance or repair
  • Build a level of knowledge and understanding of safety practices, scheduling techniques, trade knowledge and employee engagement
  • Lead and mentor employees in safe work practice and knowledge
  • Maintain regular communication with Supervisors and Project Managers regarding project's progress, risks, and forecasts
  • Immediately correct any hazardous, unproductive, or highrisk situations and report any conditions that aren't correctable to Supervisor
  • Oversee electrical journeyman and apprentices
  • Prepare site accesses
  • Misc. site support tasks

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a electrical foreman/woman
  • The ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
  • Manual dexterity
  • Good sense of balance when working on scaffolds
  • The ability to solve math problems quickly and accurately
  • The ability to get along well with others on a work team
  • Must be willing to work in remote job locations
  • Must have a strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site
  • Ability to read and write English
Project is located 30km NE of Moosejaw, SK. 10/4 shift, 10 hour days. LOA & Travel allowance provided based on eligibility.
