Risk Management Advisor

What can you expect?


As part of the Public Sector Service team, your role is to support clients and colleagues with Risk Management advice and expertise.

You will engage with clients across the country ranging from medium-sized to moderately complex by providing short and long term risk management plans, contract reviews, create and deliver education material on risk related issues, provide Public Sector leader with an annual Risk Management plan of deliverables, generate content to populate corporate website, and collaborate with Marsh Advisory colleagues.

Public Sector clients include government, healthcare, education, and non-proft.

You will cultivate a deep understanding of the clients' business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs to provide advice accordingly to client.

We will count on you to:

  • Utilize substantial risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance marketplace to review clients' exposures and loss experience to develop solutions for client's needs, including recommending additional products and services as solutions.
  • Present, develop and execute renewal/placement strategies in conjunction with Placement, Advisory Leaders and Client Executives.
  • Participate, coordinate and host presentations to current and prospective clients (including workshops and RFP presentations), identify the need for new products and develop/suggest innovative solutions to client and client team members to gain new clients and projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, and be the primary point of contact to service more complex client risk advisory needs.
  • Coordinate the production of client deliverables ensure the quality of materials delivered to the client.
  • Possess an indepth knowledge of changing insurance market and industry conditions to contribute to the firm's body of knowledge within product line through active internal communication.

What you need to have:


  • 10 years of experience in Public Entity risk management.
  • Strong Presentation / Public Speaking skills
  • Writing skills for content development (white papers, RFP's etc.)
  • Proactive
  • Team player
