Full-time Fixed Term (37.5 hrs./week; 3 year contract)

The Service Navigator-Clerk provides administrative and logístical support to the EarlyON Mental Health Project.

This is a newly funded start up project focusing on integration of mental health services for staff and families of children 0-6 years of age in EarlyON settings.

Logistical tasks include managing initial service requests, completing intake assessment, and scheduling appropriate service options, managing wait times and monitoring service plans within the yearly work plan.

Administrative tasks include creating and distributing marketing and promotional materials/resources, ordering program materials and supplies, answering service users' questions, and responsible for collecting and tracking of data and evaluation components.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creation and distribution of promotional and marketing resources (flyers/posters/menu of services) to the EarlyON sector.
  • Reaches out and engages with identified EarlyON service users as needed.
  • Respond and manage all requests for services.
  • Complete initial intake assessment and service plan
  • Consult with team as needed.
  • Schedule services
  • Manages service flows/annual workplan.
  • Prepare documents as needed using MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, CANVA
  • Collect and track project data.
  • Participate in and support the evaluation process.
  • Maintain supplies and prepare order requisitions for supplies and equipment.
  • Assist staff with photocopying, faxing, and mailings.
  • Participate in team /agency/committee meetings as required.
  • Contribute to a climate conducive to personal and professional growth.
  • Comply with agency policies and procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Early Childhood Education degree/diploma and a member in good standing with College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) OR equivalent training/ experience
  • Completed Office Administration Diploma from an accredited college and/or administrative experience is an asset.
  • Experience working with database systems, MS Office, CANVA, scheduling software.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of EarlyON system and services
  • Knowledge of mental health and wellness
  • Knowledge of child development, neurodiversity, programming, and parenting for early years
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office, Excel, CANVA and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written); proficiency in French is an asset (oral and written)
  • Able to be sensitive to a socially, culturally, and economically diverse group of service users.
  • Demonstrated ability in using database systems to enter, verify, and retrieve data, as well as produce reports.
  • Developed timemanagement and problemsolving skills.
  • Able to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and willing to carry out tasks as needed.
  • Knowledge of community resources

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Satisfactory clearance under the Vulnerable Sector Screening process.
  • Flexibility and ability to travel to work in different locations as needed.
  • Work flexible hours (including some evenings and weekends).
  • The ability to speak a second language is an asset.
  • A valid Ontario's drivers' license and access to a reliable vehicle preferred.
